Breaking the Cycle of Stigma and Discrimination through Community Empowerment

About Our
Organization

At Kranti Mahila Sangh, we want to build a safe, supportive space where Female Sex Workers, Transgender individuals, and MSM can thrive with dignity and respect. Founded by a family with deep roots in the community’s struggles, we focus on creating lasting change through financial empowerment, health support, and advocacy. By addressing these critical issues and fostering a supportive environment, we aim to create a future where each generation can step beyond the limitations of the past, embracing dignity, security, and new opportunities for all.

  • To provide on-ground crisis support, fostering long-term dignity and stability

Our Work

To break the intergenerational trauma experienced by female sex workers, transgender individuals, and MSM, our organization focuses on empowerment through advocacy, awareness, and support services. Our core interventions include counseling, social support groups, advocacy, stigma reduction, crisis solving, and promoting awareness of rights. To ensure our efforts reach those most in need, we have mapped areas with high prevalence of sex work and deployed MSACS-trained outreach workers to provide essential services and support.

Aarogya Ghat

The families of sex workers often face significant social stigma, economic hardship, and limited access to healthcare. These challenges can have a profound impact on their overall well-being. Aarogya Ghat was established to address these pressing needs and provide a comprehensive support system.

Crisis Committee

The Crisis Committee has made a profound impact on countless lives, providing essential legal services, facilitating effective police interaction, and mediating disputes with compassion and understanding. Through their unwavering commitment to justice and community well-being, the committee has become a trusted resource for individuals in need.

In 2012, poverty forced Navi Zindagi into sex work to support her children. At Kranti Mahila Sangh, she found respect and privacy, eventually becoming a peer counsellor. Today, she is happy with two supportive partners and has successfully married off all her children, thanks to the community’s help.
